Half back Harry
Bagge joined Tottenham Hotspur as an amateur during the First World War but
after being unable to break into the first team, he joined Fulham. He made
his League début in a 1-0 home win over South Shields on the opening day of
the 1919-20 season but only appeared in five games that season as the
Cottagers finished sixth in Division Two. It was early the following season
when Bagge won a regular place in the Fulham side, going on to miss very few
games over the next six seasons. His only goal for the club came in April
1924 as the Cottagers beat Stoke 3-0. During his time at Craven Cottage ,
Bagge played in191 League and Cup games before leaving in 1962 to play for
Sheffield Wednesday. Unable to break into the Owls' first-team, he left
Hillsborough and moved to Spain where he took up a coaching post.
